I’ve heard the keybed on the new T series has improved upon previous offerings. I think the action is pretty good for a MIDI controller, but will admit that the keys are a little loud (doesn’t bother me much, though). That includes the built in Logic synths and FX.ĭiffering opinion, but I have had a P4 for a little over a year now and have no major gripes with it. However, at least on my MKI, I can use MIDI mode on the physical unit itself, and through the Controller Editor software, I can control anything in Logic that respnds to a CC number. All the bells and whistles are through the Komplete Kontrol porgram itself, which is used as a plug in within he host. BUT, if you are on a Mac you are out of luck, as the software is only PC compatible.Īnd yes, I forgot to mention that, Komplete Kontrol, even with deep integration for transport, is all about NI and the companies that use the NKS standard. The XTouch Compact can be programmed with CC numbers. YMMV.Ī note about the XTouch: The XTouch Universal is a MCU controller, its all it does.
I don't know about the state of the drivers now, but I had heard the keybed quality has gone up. I also found that the integration was awfully fiddly, and I often found myself having to reinstall the drivers and deleting the cs.plist enough that after about 2 years, I had to get rid of it. The Panorama series also have integration with certain DAWs, it's not universal. A word about the Nektar: I had a Panorama 4, and the keybed was so bad it was almost unusable.
